Computer Courses

As Swamiji envisaged, our youths must be equipped with the modern science and technologies so that they can hold their own in the fast developing world today.

With this goal in mind, we have introduced professional level computer courses side-by-side regular computer courses at different levels to cater to the computer education amongst the students and to equip the professionals and job seekers to face the competitive world.

For day-to-day office work as well as academics, we offer two levels of Computer regular course: Office Basic - Beginner Course, and Office Expert - Advanced Course. Further, to meet the demands in the professional area we have introduced two more courses to reinforce the progress in career – DTP & Multimedia, FA & Tally.

 

1. BEGINNER COURSE [OFFICE BASIC]

Objective: This course is directed towards the development of the fundamentals of computer knowledge. It is designed so as to give basic knowledge to students desiring to start from the very beginning and also to strengthen the grounds of computer knowledge for students who are already pursuing computer courses in their curriculum.

It helps them to improve their speed of typing and develop the various techniques of offline and online curriculum required for office work like documentation, basic designing work, net surfing, emailing etc.

To add dynamism to the curriculum, Programing language Java, one of the most important programming languages of all time, has also been included in this course.

(A). Hardware
I) Peripherals and their functional aspects.
II) Concept of I/O devices,
III)  Concept of CPU, its functional aspects
IV) Concept of HDD and its functions.


(B). Software (Windows Platform)
I) Concept of Operating System, WordPad, Notepad, Paint
II) Microsoft Office – 2010: Word (extensively)
III) Documentation, Basic design work.
IV) Microsoft Office – 2010: Outlook
V) Internet: web browsing, email account opening and sending email with attachment, downloading and uploading etc.


(C) Programming Language
 I) Java, a general purpose programming language.


(D) Project Work
In addition, adequate internet facility is also given to all students for downloading any suitable material for their projects and to develop their proficiency in online activities.

There are three sessions for this course:
[April/May – July/August]   [September – December]    
[January – April]
Duration:  4 months – 80 Class Hours.
Class: 2 hours per day and 3 days a week.
[MWF = Mon–Wed–Fri / TTS = Tue–Thu–Sat]
Anyone who has passed Secondary (10 class) Exam can take direct admission, and who has appeared in the Exam and awaiting results can also take admission subject to clearing the Board Exam. 1. One attested photocopy of admit / mark sheet of Secondary Exam.
2. Two copies of stamp size colour photographs.

 

2. ADVANCED COURSE [OFFICE EXPERT]

Objective: The purpose of this course is to provide computer knowledge with practical orientation to the students so that they can equip themselves for any designing work required for their regular academics, keeping accounts or maintaining database for office work or excellent presentation for any project work in their career or any business promotion, etc.
This course also imparts special skills on effective computer knowledge through Visual Basic, a third-generation event-driven programming language. It is a high level programming language that can be used to develop business software, educational programs, engineering applications, games, multimedia programs and many other useful applications.

(A). Windows Platform
I) Microsoft Office – 2010: Excel
II) Microsoft Office – 2010: PowerPoint
III) Microsoft Office – 2010: Access
IV) Internet: Internet applications and different protocols, WEB DESIGN, Concept of HTTP, URL, Domain Names.

(B). Programming Language
I) Visual Basic, a high level programming language

(C). Project Work
In addition, adequate internet facility is also given to all students for downloading any suitable material for their projects and to develop their proficiency in online activities.

Anyone who has successfully completed the Intermediate Course can take direct admission. Advanced learners who have a relatively good knowledge of the fundamentals of English and have completed Graduation or any Diploma course or have completed at least three years study in any professional course may apply. They will be selected through a screening process. 1. One attested photocopy of admit / mark sheet of Secondary Exam.
2. Two copies of stamp size colour photographs.

The Institution always takes a lot of care to groom the students properly. For this, Intensive Workshop is arranged with the experienced faculty members in addition to their regular classes. Students enjoy the facilities of internet and other computer applications during these extra practice classes.

 

ADMISSION INFORMATION

ADMISSION PROCEDURES
Admission to the different courses is on a first-come-first-served basis. Application forms must be filled out and submitted along with a photocopy of mark sheet of the last examination and a stamp size colour photograph to the admission counter of the office by the candidates personally. Application forms are accepted until the availability of seats. Information regarding sessions and admissions are provided hereunder:

ADMISSION FEE
A non-refundable admission fee is payable at the time of admission. Information regarding admission fees for different courses would be available at the time of admission from the admission counter.
